2022 Demo Car GTS w/40 miles, for MSRP +$5k. Thoughts?
So I need some experienced opinions on this one. This car is ready to be scooped from the dealer. It was a demo car that only has 40 miles on it, so if I buy it, I would have warranty with no mileage restriction until 03/02/2029.
It was not driven on the road, only in and out of shows or events. It has never been registered; I'd legally be the first owner. They throw in all-weather floormats and a Porsche battery tender.
I like the included extended warrant with this, however it is a 2022, and we're entering 2024, so I really don't know how I feel about a $5k adm...
I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts.

That's a solid build. I'm sure someone's perfect build. But $5k ADM is the question. I'd have to think really hard about that. In this climate I think the dealer is pulling at straws for the last ADMs. It's easy for me to say but I would pass. $5k ADM for a car that isn’t what I ordered and USED is a no go. GL.

If it’s mint and you like it, pull the trigger! Like previously stated $5k adm is peanuts vs a 24’ build. Used gts’ are still higher than original msrp. Quit reading this and get over there

Depends how u look at the deal.
It’s not really ADM since u r getting CPO and there is a dealer cost associated with that.
Or no charge for CPO and u r are paying $5k ADM
Also as stated earlier prices have increased substantially since 2022

If that's the spec you like, then get it. Don't pass it over due to $5K. That's a measly 3% of the price.

If you’re actually going to keep the car and drive it, it’s not a terrible deal at all. The CPO alone is like $3k cost to dealership. It’s a very heavy option car, only thing missing is aerokit IMO.
The downside is that you’re then at the very high end of the GTS price range. You will not be driving this car for free after two years like you could in the past.

If you like the spec and the interior and exterior colors I'd say go for it. Being the first registered owner and with only 40 miles is worth something.
I bought this CPO C4GTS in September with 13k miles for $8k over new MSRP. I have no idea what the ADM was when purchased new. But looking at what was available nationwide it seemed like a reasonable deal.
Its my first 911 and I think its pretty great. The only thing I'd spec differently would be SPASM instead of regular PASM. But with the roads I drive on nine months of the year from Nor Cal to the Southern Oregon Coast PASM is probably a better option.

I love the spec. I’m just nervous about paying adm on a 2 year old car considering the depreciation factor I’m going to face. I’m just trying to hear other people’s opinions on if this is a deal or not in this market

I didn’t know they could CPO a car that hasn’t been registered.
As above, your “real” ADM. is $2k since dealer has to pay for CPO. That’s 1.1% of MSRP by my math.
It’s a very good build if you want a PDK car. I hate the ACC on my wife’s A6 since you can’t select “regular” cruise control, but some folks must like it.
If you plan is to keep it, grab it. I wouldn’t bet on flipping it in this climate tho.

Even if you are the first owner, you’ve got the depreciation of owning a 2022 car in 2024 regardless of miles. If you plan on holding onto the car for a while, this isn’t much of an issue, but if you’re planning to sell it in the near future, it’s a consideration.
I’ve never paid over MSRP for a leftover vehicle. In fact, I’ve used the increased depreciation as part of my negotiation tactic.
Buy the car. Not the deal. Do that, and you’ll be fine.

You don’t say where you live. The market varies widely. There are regions and dealers that sell even GT3s at MSRP. But like anything else, if you’ve searched and this is the best you’ve found, then the decision is pretty easy. If you’re willing to wait, I’m sure you could get an allocation for exactly what you want for MSRP.

I live in New York. Every dealer I contact even in neighboring states either has a ridiculous waitlist or charge over msrp. I’m honestly sick of this I just want the car already but the free of all these dealers makes it impossible. Even me trying to negotiate with this dealer saying above msrp for a 2 year old car is questionable, he says they’re firm and that this is a good deal.
