I'm asking for a Manual Trans., which doesn't seem to be as readily available.

I really don't think your choice of transmission has much to do with allocation availability. Did someone actually tell you that or are you just theorizing? I've always been under the impression that allocations are dished out by model trim, not transmission choice.

My dad actually just got an allocation for a manual T from Pasadena with $10K ADM and $20K in options (which wasn't too hard for the spec he wanted) for April delivery after he walked away from a T they had on the lot that he didn't like the spec on. The one dealer that told him no mark up was San Diego but they never called him back for 9 months and counting. The California market is still not good for the consumer but a bit better than 6 months ago. From what I can tell, a lot of dealers didn't have takers for the $20K ADMs they were asking before and ended up spec'ing T builds themselves for inventory.

It’s truly a crapshoot at best! My local dealers told me a year to 2 years wait on a T. After being on the list since 1/23. I called several other dealers in WA,ID,UT, NV and CA they said the same and were annoyed I asked. This was May of this year.

Fast forward 3-4 months later 4 of them offered me an allocation. I had already ordered one from a socal dealer because they actually had an allocation and were courteous, even with me being out of state. It should be arriving next week.

Moral of the story…….. I don’t know

Correct. At least that's what my SA has told me. They get allocations for model trim level (base, T, S, GTS, then cab, targa, and awd versions of those, GT3, GT3 touring, etc) and the transmission is just an option choice that the customer specs for the given allocation, when it's available for that trim level.
