Suddenly having CarPlay connection issues after upgrading to iOS 17.x

No issues here with 15PM. Check if you are running a VPN (if so switch it off). Toggle on / off CarPlay. Reboot phone. Delete and pair again if nothing else helps.

 

Also check if any PCM updates are available.

 

Delete the phone from the car,
then delete the car from the phone,
turn off bluetooth for like 5 seconds then turn it back on.
Repair it to the car.

I get like 10 phone calls every time iphone has a major update causing carplay to stop working.

 

I own 3 vehicles and each has its own CarPlay issues, not Porsche related.

Reboot the phone usually works - be aware apple require you to “unlock phone to use this accessory” when you try to connect to CarPlay again.

 

I had issues too. Carplay, bluetooth + Wi-Fi connectivity to the phone just quit after the iOS 17.x update. I did what MrOhnoez suggested. It took 2x and was a PITA... but Carplay came back afterwards.

iOS 17.x is very buggy! Thankfully I only updated my iPad and not my iPhone. I am keeping my iPhone on 16.7.2 until Apple makes a serious attempt at squashing the bugs.
