Press pics and front end look pretty good here. Photoshop pics need to be banned. Subtle vertical flaps and two bumper choices should be fine.

100%. It has been proven that auto shows no longer bring additional foot traffic into dealerships and that the money is better spent via other means of marketing. Manufactures also like the idea of introducing new models outdoors at events like the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance.

What venue will serve to unveil the 992.2?

Thoughts…

IMHO new front bumper is not too bad. I like design cues from GT3 bumper but it's the rear I can't stand. As much as I love center exhaust, the way they molded the bumper is just ugly.
Also who thought that all digital instrument cluster is a good change?

Just a thought, the New York International Auto Show is March 29 - April 7.

Nothing major ever seems to be unveiled at the NYIAS, so I'd be really surprised by this one (though the timing looks pretty good).

I am pretty sure Porsche pulled out of the NYIAS several years ago. I know BMW did.

IF it is unveiled at a show, Geneva is most likely (2/26 - 3/3/24).

But I have a feeling it was going to be LA and, like shrimp money said, now it will be an on-line reveal.

Yeah I am bit bummed. I was going to go to, but heard Porsche will not be there. The Phoenix Auto show got completely cancelled.

It is to bad too, the auto shows are a great way to see a ton of different cars really fast.

I think SEMA and more ordinary Cars and Coffee / Concours events draw a lot more than auto shows these days. Even if you can't go to Pebble or Amelia Island or Rennsport, there area plenty of places that new cars get shown off in any major metro area when the weather is nice. Plus Porsche dealers in the DC area have started to do seasonal events (including Cars and Coffees as well as unveilings for mass production models like the Cayenne). I've also determined that relatively few people cross shop Porsches of any kind with other cars. There are a few confused souls who of course will cross shop a 911 with a Corvette or (LOL) a Mustang Dark Horse. Or a Cayenne with a Range Rover or Wrangler 392 (also LOL). But for me the bottom line is, if you want a Porsche, that's what you want.
