What, exactly, does it count for?

This PDK vs. Manual spat is SO played out. I will say this, in my observation the manual crowd is more militant about their preference. Choose what blows your hair back, they are both great in their own way.

As for the shaver, it's funny to be wrapped up in the non-traditional appearance of that vs. the traditional shifter when at the same time I'm looking at a jumbotron dash display.

It's in the same camp as the steering wheel blocking the gauges, which is practically 911 character.
The 992 gear selector has Porsche motorsports heritage going on multiple decades. Heck, it's from the 918 parts bin. If you take time to learn a little history about these cars, they're a lot more interesting.
How much copium is running through your blood? Such nonsense.

What's tired is your forum cheerleader character. Take your post back, it's embarrassing.

You're absolutely correct, but you're playing to a crowd who has made an emotional purchase. So with that, they identify within the car inside and out. The others, want to please their forum buddies for brownie points. Any feedback that's not in the slightest bit positive will be met with moans & groans. That's not on the 992 alone, it's any car or product that's purchased emotionally. It just so happens the 992 faux shifter is in question.

Design: Ugly and flawed
Function: Bare minimum. Regressive.
Placement: Terrible
Quality: Low

It is because of a disability/injury to my right arm. All the practice in the world won't help?????

It justifies the space it takes up by actually functioning as a shifter.

I thought about installing this upgraded shifter to match the trim when I switched to the mat CF trim in light silver. After considering the cost of this part just to have a small area of silver trim I decided to leave the original shifter in place.
