Recall Notice - Bose Loudspeaker Amplifier Recoding
Had my car in for 2-year service. This is one of the campaigns they performed, in addition to upgrading to Cluster 37 software. Anyone aware why the Bose was an issue?

Anything different in cluster 37?

Other than the colour icons, I haven't had a chance to see yet.

I dropped my MY20 C2S off for service today because the car wouldn't start and had to be jumped over the weekend (after parked in my garage for 2 weeks, ugh). The engine light was on and wouldn't come off so I made the appointment. I then noticed it had turned off when I was driving to the dealership this morning. Oh well, let them check for a battery drain.
My SA told me there were some campaigns to take care of - WPA6 engine data label, WPG3 cluster update (I think this is the software update), and WPJ6 for Bose speaker. I have a PCSS login and can see these campaigns for my VIN but WPJ6 is just titled "WPJ6 Re-code loudspeaker amplifier (bose)".

Had mine done a couple of weeks ago and the first thing I noticed was a change in the tone of the stereo. All of the base response was gone and it can't be turned up using the EQ. I surmise they did this to alleviate the problems with rattles and blown speakers. It really ruined the already poor stereo in my car.

I just received a text from my SA regarding this WPJ6 recall/software update for my '21 C2S. Is the consensus not to get it done?
Thanks in advance.

i believe Porsche will not warranty the Bose speaker defect if you will not allow the WPJ6 amp recode/update however.

I had mine recoded during an oil change and when I drove away my drivers side woofer was blown. I wonder if they have to run a test tone ... Can't imagine how that would happen
