2020 CPO 4S with 75000 miles
Found a used 992 PDK 4S at my local dealer. He made a descent offer on my 991.1 C2S.
The 992s are still out of my budget with normal mileage, but with 75000 miles it's more like a trade for my 991.1 + 5K
Every maintenance was done at the same dealer. CPO for 2 years.
I don't drive a lot. 3-4 thousand miles a year.
Never drove a 992 before. Haven't seen the car yet. Dealer told me that the car was has PPF (full front and lower body) and is really good condition.
Not sure if it's that much of an "upgrade" compare to my 991.1?

The interior alone is worth the price of admission for $5k. But 75k miles is A LOT. If you're ok with keeping it and not worried about resale, I think this is a good-ish opportunity to get into a 992. You have a couple years warranty left so the next two years will be worry free. After that, you're left to your own devices. Just know you'll not be selling this car and will have it til either you or the car dies, whichever comes first.

It's pretty hard to put that kind of mileage in 3 years in a rental. Even if the contract was for unlimited mileage, which is usually not the case for rentals like the 911 (a Chevy Malibu, yes).
75k in three years essentially means you are averaging something like 70 miles a day, every single day, for 3 years.
That takes effort. Real effort.

I'm just in the process of ordering a 911T so can't speak for high mileage Porsches. But, I will disagree with some here.
I used to commute from the east bay to Sacramento every day and would easily put 30k a year. So 75k may simply indicate a supercommuter. If that's the case, I don't think I would be too worried. My car was in much better shape than many others and engine use at 2-3k RPM is quite mild. Brakes barely get used (assuming modest to low traffic) and suspension doesn't suffer much either.
The areas to focus on are stone chips, windshield cracks, etc.
At the right price, I much prefer a well taken care of highway miles car than a city driven or track abused car.

Does the dealer know how the 70k was put on? Was it a track car? Did the owner have a long commute? Or was it on lots of road trips?
Don’t forget to get a DME report — it’ll give you a sense of how hard it was driven.
The service records will have the mileage recorded. There should be at least 7 for each of 10k oil changes. Was the mileage relatively even over the years or lumpy?
When did the original owner acquire the car? If it was mid/late 2019, that’s almost 4 years, so 70k would be close to average.

I dont see why it should be worse than any other turbocharged car with 70k on the clock, just look for the usual things. The only thing you can't predict on that car is engine mount failure looking at the spec.
Worn brakes, worn interior, missing services all that type of stuff will be obvious on inspection/ test drive.

My C2 with 55k is still as good as new.
Our oil service intervals in the UK seem double the mileage of the US. They are variable, however they seem to average 20,000 miles/ annually for me.
I know the technicians and have seen the old oil come out still looking quite clean at that milage.

Sold my 991.1 C2 18 months ago with 120k miles. It drove that thing everywhere, summer and winter , up and down the mountains here in Switzerland. The car never missed a beat. I’d buy a properly maintained and v good condition 911 with high mileage no problem. Bought a 992 recently from a friend who needed a fast sale and got a great price. It’s low miles but it will clip 20k miles per year, just like the old one. Also, when you buy a car with high mileage you aren’t so careful keeping annual mileage low, as that bandaid has already been pulled off.
A 5k premium is worth it to get into 992. FWIW, the PCM 5 in the 2020 model is better than PCM 6 which constantly crashed in my 22 Taycan, and ultimately led to me selling it early.

@OP: Mine has a very similar spec but half the mileage. What I personally would be missing here is PASM which also gives you a slightly lower ride height and the more aggressive front lip. If you'd miss that depends on the intended use. My 4S also has PDCC and FAL. I like it, but PDCC is a controversial topic around here.
Been dreaming of a 991 the past 10 years and ended up getting a 992. Why? The 992 has grown on me as much as my interest in a 991 has faded.
Your 991.1 S has 440 Nm (325 lb⋅ft) at 5,600 rpm, the 992 4S has 530 Nm (391 lb⋅ft) at 2,300 (–5,000) rpm. That's a hell of a difference at lower rpm, trust me, and is one of the reasons I couldn't go back to a 991 after driving/tracking a number of 992s (4Ss/GTSs/Turbo Ss).

There is something nice to know that these 992s can handle going all of these miles.
I’ll buy other cars but will keep my C2s and will want to know that it can handle it and have this longevity.
OP if you plan to not sell it go for it and especially if you have an independent mechanic that you can trust it actually may be fun doing mods to it and not feel that you are going to do something too soon in the life of the engine. Heck you could even change the engine later if you needed to.
I’ll buy other cars but will keep my C2s and will want to know that it can handle it and have this longevity.
