Thanks MGC911. I'm nearby too. Hard to believe that Porsche cannot come up with a solution on a more timely basis....very frustrating.

They have not come up with a solution in the past six months! Unreal!

Ask this question.

If there is no approved windshield adhesive, why are the production lines still running?

This whole mess doesn’t make a lot of sense!

great question. I have called two dealers and both said it’s a known problem and are awaiting Porsche to ship to them an approved sealant. It’s is a warranty item so the dealership are happy to do the work.

Just had the problem start on my car yesterday. 2022 C2S. In a rainstorm it started to melt all over the windshield and the wipers just made a smeary mess. Actually, it could be dangerous in terms of visibility. I had to use alcohol to get it off. I guess I will be taking it in and trying to convince the dealer to fix it.

it’s a well known issue and under warranty. The issue I have been told from two dealerships is Porsche has the new “approved” product on back order to the dealership.

another well known issue is the rear tail light LED strip. When driving in heavy rain the water gets into the LED and shorts out the light. Only good news is my dealer had 7 in stock. Seems to be an issue in states like FL.

I have owned 5 Porsche 911’s, I expected more build quality on the 992. I was wrong. 😎

I would agree on the quality issue - but that's a whole other thread!

In the RAIN? You'd think the rain would keep the seal cool enough to *not* melt.
This sounds like NTSB recall territory now, if safety is being compromised.
