Production Delay!
Hello everyone,
I have a GTS in production currently, was scheduled to be completed yesterday 9/21/23, according to TYD. I checked today and the new date is exit production on 10/17/23 delivery 11/14/23! My SA said his info just says parts delay. Anyone else have recent delays?

That's nothing to sweat and pretty typical.

Delays are common these days. Take TYD dates more as suggestions than accurate predictions. The dates can and do change around dramatically, moving back and forth.
Apparently, dealers are complaining to Porsche about all the TYD inaccuracies and glitches. One guy had TYD show him production photos from two different model cars, neither one being the one he ordered. You can imagine the headaches that sort of thing causes the sales people.
So it looks like Porsche, starting just recently, may be responding by building even more leeway into the setting of TYD dates in an effort to wind up delivering earlier than predicted, which leads to better customer outcomes than delivering late, obviously. I wouldn’t be surprised to see TYD go away for a while why they try to fix it.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if, for a lot of people, the delays recently injected into TYD evaporate ant some point and the cars move along more quickly than TYD currently shows.

The production for my GT3 was delayed by another 2 months. I was lucky to have gotten an allocation pretty quickly, but I was just informed a few days ago that, due to my GT3 being PTS, the production has gotten delayed by another 2 months. I now expect to see it mid April.

It's crazy how it varies from car to car. My original pick up date from last May was 10-20, I am getting it today. I guess I got lucky. Hope you guys gets yours soon.
