Passenger side mirror tilts UP?

Passenger side mirror tilts UP?
I selected for the passenger side mirror to go down in reverse. However it actually tilts UP. If I deselected it the mirror remains in the normal driving position. Am I doing something wrong?

This happened to me the first day I drove my car. I think it remembers where you set it for the reverse mode. What I did to fix it is just put it in reverse, let it go up, then while still in reverse move it to exactly where you want it. It should remember to go there next time
