If I could do it over, I would've definitely added the aerokit. Oh well . . .

The aero kit is hardly "tacky", ridiculous. You obviously feel this way but don't assume that you are in the majority with this opinion. The car will sell with or without the kit.

I fell prey to the "why you trying to make your T look like a GT3?" notion, once planted in my mind I couldn't shake it.

Many years ago at a Porshe event, the mantra was "every Porsche is a race car." I admit to that thinking, driving my '88 turbo for over 200k. And BTW, a GTS is actually, well, a GT car, hence the name GTS. It's off the line performance is right up there with a GT3 due to immediate low end torque. Most of us mortals can't drive a GT3 like it should be driven.

My 2024 GTS is being built now, with a "boy racer" aero kit because I like it a lot. And the aero kit comes with a bunch of other "go faster options" at a reasonable cost.

I'm sorry. Never let the opinions of others on aesthetics sway you. It's your money and your car. Always make it your own.

The irony of the whole "poser GT3" ideology is that the availability of the Aerokit option on 911s predates the GT3.

Don't get too excited about someone downing your taste, likes, and preferences. Just some guys who think they have the ultimate opinion and try to spoil the fun. I would argue guys who down people who modify their cars have a limited horizon or some kind of ego they can't get over it. Someone will blast me for that - oh well. Modify and do what you want and enjoy!

It’s the inevitable question you get when you have the Aerokit. I had it on one of my 997’s and it became tiresome after a while.

Shark Blue no. But if I had seen this before I spec'd my car. Well. Hot hot hot.

Chalk C2S. Aerokit. Though not the aurum wheels.

You and me both @Scott P ... Its probably the only option I think about on a regular basis... Im not even ashamed to say that I programed my individual mode to have wing up all the time because I think the car just looks so much better with the wing...

I never understood people who say choosing the aerokit is trying to look like a GT3. I wanted an aerokit car b/c I've always associated 911s with a large tail from the original 930 turbos. 911s - turbos and non-turbos have had large wings for decades before a GT3 showed up.

I too find this amusing. To me, it goes along the same lines as saying bright colors and decals don't belong on Porsches. I completely respect the fact that everyone has different personal tastes and aesthetic preferences but they should be just that, personal preferences. To make sweeping generalizations that this or that look "doesn't belong", especially on FACTORY OPTIONS, reveals a lack of knowledge about Porsche's heritage and history. There are many options I personally don't want either but I don't make generalizations about them nor the people who choose them. If one wants to go down the road of the Aerokit wing being a poser GT3, then I hope they opt out of center locks on their GTS and Turbos because that's a "race car" part too.
