Hey folks - new GTS Cab inbound…

thoughts on a fair PPF cost? Will do either front or front+hips.

thanks!

Just had full coverage Xpel (double layer on rockers/hips) with 2 layers of ceramic inc. wheels in the Dallas area for ~ $9k. I know you're not looking at full body coverage but hopefully gives you a data point.

Entirely market dependent. Personally think it’s meaningless to compare across different markets.

Just got my C2 GTS done. Full front (no headlights) + CF roof PPF, tint, ceramic coating (body and wheels) for $4K in Houston.

I did full body on a cab in 2021 and paid $6,000+tax including ceramic coating and full paint correction.

A few months back the same shop did full Front on my new Audi Q5 including A pillars and headlights and I paid $4,100+tax.

$2,500 for front in MD on my GTS Cab as part of my ADM. Done in March of this year. They didn't do the A pillars including the top that surrounds the windshield.

I wouldn't pay $100 more.

You may be able to just add A pillars to a front wrap, but I don’t think it’s generally included.
My Taycan is “full front” and A pillars are not done.

Below is what I received for options on the 911 (I went with full vehicle).

A pillars are different on the cab and targa. It wraps around the top of the windshield which makes it susceptible to rocks and debris. I would do it if given the option.

Price varies wildly by market. It's also the kind of job that you don't give to the lowest bidder.
I have a friend who recently had to repaint his entire 997, because the "cheap" installer did the job that badly. Go by reputation. Price is only a secondary, even tertiary consideration here.

Last week, 2024 992S Cabriolet with front sport design was $6800 in Chicago NW Suburbs. Paint correction, Full Expel Ultimate PPF, double layer on rear quarters, full ceramic including wheels. Metallic black looks fabulous.

For what it’s worth, NJ greater Philly area, dealer appointed shop was $2,250 front end ppf and additional $2,650 for top level ceramic coating including wheels. I asked for recs and opinions form my SA and he had it completed before I took ownership for me.

Not South Bay, but I used Glistening Perfection in Costa Mesa for my first 992 and changed it up to Impero Motorsport in West LA/BH based on a recommendation/proximity to where I live for my new car, very happy with the work from both shops.
