OEM floor mats involve cutting?

Default OEM floor mats involve cutting?
So I just gor the oem all weather mats and there are tabs from where the hanger was fastened to. Probably a stupid question but do I just cut them off? Just wanted to confirm before I start slicing away. TIA

Yup, can and should be easily cut with scissors. I imagine those are there for dealerships to hang on wall hooks for easy storage before being sold.

I left mine on. I didn’t see where they interfere with anything and I can’t see them when installed because of how far forward the seats are.

I used a Stanley knife to cut them off mine

Just left mine on, doesn’t interfere so to anything and doesn’t bug me personally
