Absolutely! IMHO far to many corners were cut when the design of the interior bits and pieces were finalized. I've had 40 year old 356's that were (or seemed to be) more tightly screwed together than my current 992.

My wife and son have both had their 992’s in for rattle repairs in the first 1,000 miles. We have a C8 and no rattles with 8k miles.

that is crazy power! do you even get any traction above 4000 rpm?

people who don't like the "rattles" ... sell your cars and get the "rattle free gens ."

it probably was.

the 992 is a modern car. modern cars ARE NOT built the same as cars were 25+ years ago. it doesn't matter how much you paid or who made the car, they are just not the same. they will never be the same. it is about getting the greatest return for shareholders, efficiencies, and meeting demand. this is the result.

like i mentioned earlier, if you guys don't like that, sell and go older and good luck with that.

Thank god! Do you remember cars from 25 years ago?

I get a kick out of people saying it is a sports car and not a luxury car. They are both, leaning more to one side or the other depending on how you spec them of course or what model you have. I only have 14xx miles on my GTS, but count myself very lucky that I’m not hearing any rattles yet. I feel for you OP, they suck and can drive one bananas. I don’t think it is unreasonable to think people want a fairly rattle free experience paying what we do for these things. Plus its not like building cars is a new thing. You’d think after a 100 years of doing this that this problem would be mostly gone by now.

I still remember my friends Chevy Beretta door falling off and that was a new car.

Obviously wasn’t funny at the time, but we definitely laugh about that story now.

I have a '21 jeep and a '22 kia both rattle free. It's not a new car thing, it's a design and quality assurance thing. The excessive rattles in the 911 show failures on both fronts. Sports car or not, rattles and poor fitting panels/trim pieces can be eliminated or drastically reduced on this platform. I rent cars a few times a month for work and my 911 has more rattles than any modern car I've driven in the past 2-3 years.

Many confuse normal and expected sports car rattles with what's going on here , such an amazing car with so many build quality issues I hope they fix some on the 992.2 platform
