Great! I look forward to your thoughts once you have it in hand. Literally…
Edit: Did you make any customization? I’ve been communicating with Roy about doing so as I have got a few ideas.
I did not, I did the brushed silver round one piece top (and rod) with the inlays, and the staggered 7 speed numbers in Black with the Red R and (I suppose the 7). Also the mohogany inlays rather than just the full aluminum rod.
I think I liked the one piece round top vs the 2 piece (I have the GT2 with the 2 piece currently (Black with Silver and white lettering) thought I would do the round top which I think looks more classic.
OK - now tell me what mods are you thinking, so I do not feel I am missing out!

I am interested to see how it looks! Cant wait to see!
Sam from Seen Through Glass does not seem to care for the factory wooden shift **** in the .2 Carrera T. He also does not seem care for all the manual transmission marketing PAG has placed on the vehicle either. 😂. FYI, for those that are unaware Sam owns a PTS 992.1 GT3 that he ordered new.
I'm interested in sportshifters **** for my 992.1 Carrera T. Can anyone comment on the weight options, and how that affects the feel?
Light [<200 grams] - Race
Medium [>300 grams] - Sport
Heavy [>400 grams. Gran Turismo
On your current T - the light from SS would be still much heavier than what you have in the plastic shifter. It is amazing how light the OEM is once you take it off.
I have went with the Medium the last several I have bought for my 992s (and 991s). The heavy is a little much weight - unless you are upgrading the shifter linkage and cables. The Medium is just about right IMO. As you can put it a bit lower than OEM height and with the medium gives you a nice weighty feeling, but still smooth.
So IMO either go Medium or Light for the sweet spot. The build quality and feel is crazy better than stock - probably the best single upgrade you can do, and not that expensive (porsche wise anyway)...

Thank you - I'm thinking medium makes sense for me too.
I have the heavy one and think it's great. Before that I actually filled the top of the OEM shifter with tungsten putty which did help. Stock is is super light for sure.
Medium is definitely the sweet spot although I would prefer Med+ but wasn’t offered on this particular ****.
I did notice that as well - I also ordered Medium+ on my current GT2 SS shifter. I am guessing with the wood, the weight of the medium+ is the same (or close as the medium with the wood. My current one came in at 340 grams, Will be curious to see what the new one in wood weighs.
Since I did the leather insert widows on my current GT2 SS, instead of the full aluminum rod without inserts - guessing that would have bumped the weight up to 380ish
FYI, the .1 T shares the same factory SSK as the .1 GTS. Therefore your .1 T already has the SSK. To my knowledge there is no change in the **** length in the T/S/GTS. The same shift **** in all three.
Edit: If you want a shorter, better made shift **** than the factory **** then https://sportshifters.com is the place to go. Weighted and custom made to your specs in the EU. They are now even offering a mahogany shift **** similar to the one found on the .2 Carrera T.
Just to be clear (before I go and F up my 992 🤦🏻♂️😜 it looks like on the YouTube videos of 991 shifter removal/replacement, they're removing the leather shift boot base directly from the center console by pulling it up and out, whereas on the 992 are we lifting up the thin trim ring (with a pry tool, etc.) that the leather shift boot seems to attach too, instead?

You still need to remove the central boot but there is nothing to it.
Doubt there is much you would do to screw anything up.

You can do one of two ways. Pry tool at top of boot area on right and left side. Front comes up first. Or just grab the slack of the boot on the front left and right and give it a tug (this is what I do). Comes right up.
