I paid around the same as you did. I don't know if I'd pay $10k like many seem to do. This is for full 10mm Xpel with double film in the rocker area. Will now be doing windshield protection after my cracked windshield is replaced.
My car is black. I have permanent marks on the PPF after my first drive which was 560mi driving it home. Not so happy about that but I'd be flat out pissed if it was permanently damaged paint.

I gave up waiting and purchased a CPO car that was already full PPF. I would not have done PPF.
However, I love it.
We did a weekend trip to Vermont and there was a 5 mile stretch of road that was one level up from gravel. I could hear that painful ping...ping... ping as small stones kicked up.
Thank god for the PPF!
I guess I will do this on future cars and likely redo parts of this car.

I have had my Car fully PPF'd and I got the mudflaps from Tommy L Garage. They work. I have a gravel driveway, and I have driven 3810 miles now, and the sides of my car are still clean from where rocks would normally be hitting them

I now have 10671 miles and there are a few hits and fine scratches that 120 degree water has helped self heal the PPF for me. The 10 mm on top of the 8mm PPF I have on the hips, like I said has some cuts and scratches but it is within acceptable limits, after driving 10k miles in 145 days
Good to know, appreciate the info. i may go back to the shop that installed mine and ask for a second layer on top of the qtrs. I’m barely at 600 miles and already seeing quite a few marks

this is the best most recent photo close to the hips rise I have, at about 9956 miles or so

The Colgan Bra is not as dorky looking as I thought it would be. The fit is actually really good. They're made to order. It required a bit of stretching which the directions say is intended.
The brief manual does state the obvious direction not to leave it on with a wet backing. Except for the hood section, it only touches the plastic parts of the bumper cover. It does cover most of the parts that will normally pick up the most rock chips and bugs.
