Finally, got my allocation for a 4gts…but a Targa!

Great color combination. Would definitely go for red/black as well. Just would always add some more leather options. Especially since you went red. The car is pretty expensive already so never skip those last parts.

on second thoughts @Shogunade , I’m just gonna spend a little bit more for the 930 pkg. well said! Thanks, just added to my new build. Kudos.

It's where you spend 98% of the time when you're with the car.
Color, exhaust, exterior bits, etc. are all for everyone around you.
The interior is for you.

Check out the Porsche sub second clock instead of the useless mindless second hand spinning base chrono on the dash.
If you are on a budget, use the bucks saved from downgrading the matrix headlites to PDLS+.

agree that the base chrono is useless but I like the look of it better than the sub second clock 😆

After a few weeks he told me none of them would take it. Maybe he was asking an adm of too high a number I don’t know? Didn’t bother to ask. He said he would be charging an adm for the targa but if I buy a used cpo cayenne under 5k miles, he would give me the allocation. Ended up buying the used cayenne for maybe 15k over the market value but since my wife wanted a cayenne anyway I took the bait. We didn’t want a heavily optioned expensive cayenne anyway so it worked. So essentially my markup for the targa gts was 15k. My wife is happy buying a nearly new cayenne cpo’d under 5k miles. She loves it.
Everybody was happy not to mention me getting a targa for godsakes, and we called it a day.

I was wondering how it would feel to get an allocation because it really seemed too far away.
I am so grateful that I was offered a Targa 4gts instead of my initial wish of a 4gts coupe.
My dealer officially submitted the order in yesterday and my official wait begins with the Tracking thru the Porsche app!
Cant wait.
Build freezes in a month so I can change here and there but I went for Agate grey with red interior. No crazy colors and not too many options.

in terms of options.. here’s my build sheet if anyone wants to advise me of second thoughts..
Also the exterior color! Unless I am getting pts, my color would be agate grey or aventurine green(decided to pass the arctic grey..too bright for me I guess but it is a beautiful color)
If I am going for aven green I will select truffle brown interior for sure.
Would love to hear thoughts on why owners chose aven green over agate grey.

There are many things I would change on this build, but that’s because it’s me and not you.
I did notice you have a high priced build, but stuck with the Bose instead of Burmester. Bose seems out of place on such a high priced build.
Exterior color is very personal and you’ll get opinions all over the place here. In the end, you have to go with the color that speaks to you and you’ll enjoy looking at every day. For me, that was GT Silver, Jet Black, or one of the great PTS greens. I couldn’t get PTS so I chose GT Silver. I don’t care if it is one more silver car in the world. I’m hoping to keep this car for many years and it’s a color I know I will still love 10 years from now. If you think you’ll still love Agate Grey in 10 years, then that’s your color.
Good luck.
