Default Silver Window Trim on Gentian Blue 992 with Turbo Rims - To Wrap in Black or Not

The title is self explanatory - wrapping the trim that is - not the entire vehicle. After a year of waiting I picked up my C4S last week. I'm super happy with the build other than the silver trim that I have spent too much time debating since the build locked last December. I was thinking it would blend well with the Turbo rims, but the rims aren't as shiny as I thought they would be and the trim really pops in the sunlight. I have always liked the look of the silver trim on the Touring, but I'm not sure it looks right on mine especially with the aerokit. Of course, this is a personal choice, but looking for some other opinions. I was unsure of the slate grey interior with the chalk stitching but it looks awesome and the 7MT is fabulous - my first manual vehicle since my relatively rare E60 550i from ages ago.

Some pics from the car wash last night and here's a link with some IG pics from my PPF installer - went with full 10mm PPF and Modesta ceramic coating -

You’re overthinking this. The silver trim looks great and ties in with the rest of the car.

I am not a chrome guy so I am biased. I would wrap it with something that matches the dark grey portion of the wheels.

I think the bright window surrounds work well with your spec as the color of the car is dark so having the bright emblems and somewhat bright wheel details ties together with the window surround. There are people who are just anti-bright work and that is perfectly fine but for you, it's pretty clear that you like to have some bright work and that's perfectly fine too. This is coming from someone who plans on selecting the bright window surround on a 992 with Aerokit even though I like the black window surrounds on my Macan GTS and debadged Cayman S. It really depends on the individual car and I think how you have it now is perfect.

I love your car as is except the wing looks out of place with silver trim and those wheels. The wing won't be easy to remove and you probably don't want to, so I'd black out the trim and buy a set of black wheels to match. One of my fave Gentian Blue 992s on RL: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1293...l#post18827116

Just wrap it. It's cheap and 100% reversible. No biggie.

This such a personal choice type of thing. I really like the silver trim and have it on my new 911. I think it is reminiscence of older 911's (see the 911 in "Top Gun Maverick" for reference) and shows of the lines of the coupe in the correct manner. I love the look on your Gentian and think it ties in with your silver rims and silver emblems great but my suggestion would be to tint your windows lightly just for contrast.I went with 40% tint and really like is. Again these are just my thoughts.

I think for an aero car the trim should be black.

Wheels are fine - I have the same ones with high gloss black trim. Love the combo.

aero car should have black trim and black wheels, it's more aggressive looking. I'm selling a set of gloss black Carrera S wheels
