Anyone have these installed on a newer 992? Do they throw a CEL untuned? Not a lot of info on these and wanted to grab a set to go with my Akra slip on.

I am aware of cheaper options…but I have OCD lol. Plus the Akra link pipes looks like amazing fit and finish just like their slip on. Had the first gen Soul cats and they threw a CEL.

 

The new generation from Soul claims they won’t cause a CEL.

 

Oh I know. I’m but the finish is different than the Akra and I wanted the complete system. I like the shielding on the Akra.

 

Yes most likely will throw a CEL.

Soul had to revise their current cats so they don't throw cats anymore.

Aren’t they a higher cell count? Like 300 compared to Souls 200? Also it appears O2 placement is slightly different.

 

To my knowledge, Akrapovic link pipes have not triggered the check engine light in any reported instances.
I'd say they won't cause this issue unless new information comes to light.

 

This is good information. I may very well pull the trigger and Guinea pig this for the later models.

Correct, it may because our clients always got full exhausts including headers.

Yes the note is changed quite a bit w the HFC.
