quick question, does the link pipe by itself really improve the exhaust note a lot?
thanks
It will be a couple months before I can report on them. Need to get back CONUS again before I can install.

Yes link pipes do change the exhaust note. I had a set of Soul link pipes with PSE before I changed to Akra slip ons. There was about a 10-15% volume increase and it had a little more aggressive tone. The Akra slip on with stock cats seems louder and better sounding than PSE with cats. So now I want to try the full Monty to see how it sounds.

Was that 10-15% increase in volume stock or on the M-Eng tune with the valves all the way open?

I tried it both ways and there was a volume increase both ways but valves open was of course at a higher level.

How’s it like after installation? Does it throw a CEL without a tune?

Never did install it. Got a GT3 allocation and traded the car in.

This maybe a really stupid question…. But does it make any sense at all to install 200 cell link pipe to a 992 turbo s with stock sports exhaust…. Or is the exhaust upgrade a prerequisite for a 200 cell link pipe?

Link pipes aka high flow cats, are an independent change to the muffler. You can do either, do it in any order, or do both together. Based on other turbo cars, I’ve found that high flow cats tend to increase the volume more than just a muffler change, in general.

Yes they are still high flow cats so will improve the flow a lot even with a stock exhaust. We do the Soul sport 200 cel cats on a regular 992 all day long.
