Solved GTS ride complaints - check your tire pressures!
I had a CPO .2 GTS with PDCC and was very happy with the ride and balance of that vehicle. I really thought it was a perfect sports car for the road, especially once I got rid of the P Zeros for Michelin PS4S. I ordered a 992 and omitted the PDCC, arrived with Goodyears and when I first got the car I was unhappy. The roads around me arent particularly great - lots of expansion joints and filled pot holes and I found the ride to be jarring. (Mind you I'm 37, had a M2 competition between the 991 and 992). I figured that a combination of the 21" rears and increased spring rates just tipped the balance a bit too much towards track and found it frankly unacceptable. I was finally out of break in and found that even on 70* days i was getting slide in 2nd gear around backroads. I was getting frustrated, whats the point of all this tire and spring if it couldnt even road hold? I was frustrated and didnt expect that PDCC or Michelins made THAT much difference
Scrolling through the menu I noted the tires were at 38/43. I dropped it to 30/35 cold 33/38 hot and the car is so much better to drive. Ride is more compliant and traction seems better too. I am much much happier than I was 3 weeks ago.
