Would layering a protectant help with this? Something like Carpro Leather 2.0?

I remember when I was selling my 991.1 GTS many people were worried about a crease in the driver's seat. I had to send multiple pictures of the bolster. It seemed more important to some people than the mechanical condition of the car. Personally, I don't even think about it. But I don't like scratches on the scuff plate.

I have a 992T. Owned for 6 months and 6K+ miles. I’m going to get this checked out by the local dealer. I’m having similar issues on my 4 ways.

Exact same on my car. Hit that with some Lexol or other leather conditioner and it will be dramatically reduced.

I have Griot’s Garage Interior Cleaner. Is that also good?

Not 'cleaner'. You want a conditioner ('moisturizer') to keep it supple. I've use Lexol for years, I'm sure there are similar products that will also do the job.

Does it also make the leather look shiny? I don’t like shiny leather…

Played around with that. Mine is a cabriolet. Seat belt mount is much lower.

I had an 8 year old Cayman with full leather sports seats that had only very light creasing on the bolster when I sold it.
You can spray Lexoil on the bolsters, push the seat way back, add seat covers or say a prayer…. but unless you lift your fat *** off the bolsters, in and out, expect issues. I didn’t have any signs of wear or creases with 18 ways on my 2018 991.2 or 2022 992. And I’m possibly the oldest Renlister.

The car is approaching ten years old and beginning to show a little wear on the bolster. I’m a small guy & figured out the proper entry & exit method over 50 years ago ( ‘70 911T). Suncoast has a bolster protector for a 718 model, but no 911 offerings. Looks like there is a market for someone to take advantage of.

Edit: reading a little closer, the 718 bolster is made to order. Worth a call.

One solution is to slide the seat all the way back, which gives you more room to enter and exit the car. But I am wondering if there is a bolster cover for the sport-seat plus. I have seen them for the LWB seats, and they seem to look very nice. Anything similar for Sport Seat Plus? Thank you.
Covers might help with abrasion but they won't do anything for wrinkling since that comes from the compression of the foam and in turn wrinkling the leather. Personally, I use my left hand and support my weight using the door sill. I also use Gyeon leather products, but very sparingly.

I’m not worried about the creases. I’m worried about the peeling. Since I saw this, I’ve stopped wearing jeans, and push the seat all the way to the back to get in and out without touching the backrest side bolster. Nevertheless, I’d prefer an easier more bullet-proof way to solve this. I also find it hard to instruct friends and family on how to get in and out on the passenger side.

@Spiffx I was responding to the OP (quoted), but you may want to look into this:

Personally, I look at your wear as patina. It's more that the pigment has scraped off. Normal wear for leather that has been pigment dyed (basically spray painted).

Thanks, @Ikone. Appreciate the info. I can’t apply colourlock bacause I’ve got chalk stitching. Also, I’m less worried about repairing the current (minor) damage than I am about preventing future (worsening) damage.
