Yep - we painted: mirror caps, grill, door handles, side vents, emblems - all body color. Then did piano black vinyl over the chrome window trip. 20” black rhino wheels with 34x12.50 Yoko Geo MT G003’s with *no lift* and no rub. Here’s my YouTube on leveling the rear https://youtu.be/-uy_EwsMt78
Absolutely killer combination for a comfy, almost go-anywhere kid/dog/bike hauler. Driven on ice/snow for hours, super safe setup. Cruise back mountain gravel MTN bike roads for days, comfortably.
@Chalk992911S thank you for sharing. Looks amazing! I don't think the rounder curves of the QX facias and details lend themselves to look as rugged as your Armada but your car is the perfect inspo for mine. Thanks again!
While geography may come into play, but getting a 911 and not using it as a daily just seems so wrong.
And then there are those who don't understand why the Dakar exists.
indeed, there are places like where I live, that make driving a 911 impossible, unless it's lifted. I do have a deposit on a Dakar that I probably won't get.
And then there are those who don't understand why the Dakar exists.
the peanut gallery thinks 99% of people who can afford the Dakar will just use it for cars and coffee. Never to go off-road, let alone a loose surface road, for fear it will get dirty. That's why those people don't understand why it exists.

The esteemed peanut gallery is indeed right because that's what the 1% will be doing with the Dakar.

With 2 younger kids in school, it’s almost impossible. I can barely fit my 10yr old son and his friend in the 911 because of their baseball bags (one is a catcher bag).
Once the oldest kid can drive in a few years I’ll be driving it more than once a week, because she’ll be driving her little brother around :-)

Ford Bronco and Raptor as dailies. Indian Chieftain and Springfield weekend warriors. Looking forward to getting back into a 911, currently in production.
Audi eTron Sportback. Was waiting for the Macan EV - don't hold your breath for the launch of that........ Everyone should try an EV - amazingly quiet and smooth.
I’ve got a Wrangler 4xe for most days, especially when it’s nice out and can take doors / roof off. Work commute isn’t that far and I can charge there so I can round trip on electric only.
Gladiator if I’m hauling anything, trash runs, kayaking, surviving a crowded parking lot, etc
BMW i4 if I’m taking 3+ people and/or some people don’t feel like jumping in and out of the Jeeps in heels or dresses. Plus, sometimes it’s nice to have a quiet ride if I need to make phone calls on the way.
I pretty much split daily driving my 992 and my Mercedes E63S. My Acura MDX is used for driving the family around, bad weather driving, hauling stuff, and winter and summer road trips. The Audi R8 gets driven for occasional spirited driving in the SF Bay Area back roads, and when I feel the itch to drive a manual!
