Default (PSE) race pipes vs muffler delete

I’ve been looking at multiple options to increase sound on my GTS and I’ve been coming across multiple race pipe options where it simply removes the muffler and simply extends the pipes. Is there any benefits between just removing the muffler entirely from the cats? Would it trigger a cel if keeping stock cats?

Similar concept as this https://youtu.be/pVj2vVyulE4

As long as it’s valved or non-valved with a mount to hold the factory valves then shouldn’t have a CEL with factory cats.

If you just want to make noise and create incredible drone inside the vehicle, then removing the muffler will accomplish that.

You need to either get rid of the valves, or use a controller to have them opened 100%.
