I wonder if the husband is a Rennlister. It’s amazing that the rear seat (if you can even call it a seat when there are no head rests) passengers weren’t seriously injured.
Also, when the 992 was first introduced, I recall reading that the engine output was automatically reduced in urban areas. Since the GPS always knows where the car is, it would signal the ECU to change parameters in urban settings. However, I can’t find any information on that now. I know I read something about that… but I’m sure it could easily reach 100 mph no matter what.
Maybe it just closes the exhaust valves and changes shift points with the pdk in urban areas. That’s probably it….
This tragedy has destroyed at least 3 lives….probably several more.

I hope the lady who was responsible does some serious time….although that’s little consolation to the family of the deceased.
