Angry Home Address won't save anymore

Hello guys,

over the past two/three days there must have been a software update on my 2022 992 - when I picked the car yesterday it didn't recognise my iPhone anymore.

So I logged back in however I realised that my home address wasn't stored in the navigation app anymore. When trying to add it again it lets me type it and save it however it won't show up again once saved. I've tried multiple times.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Cheers.

My advice is never store your home address in your sat nav anyway.

Whoever may steal your keys would also know where you live.

As for the nav issue itself sorry I cant help as I only ever use Waze.

My car has had plenty of updates even since I received in back in November and each time there hasn't been a failure to recognise my iPhone.

Could it be you're using a different key? Does the 992 have individually stored key profiles?

I only have used one single key in both my 992s but my missus's BMWs are a PITA for this key thing.

Also, have you been logged out of the Porsche Connect ID?

Thanks for your advice, probably best to not store home address in there anyway!
Same key, no changes, it was a weird update I think and I have logged in and out of Porsche Connect using my ID and password.

And that’s why the address I store as “home” is the really fancy house around the block….

Car registration shows correct address. Is that stored inside your Porsche? Just an observation / comment.

I know folks who don't for exactly that reason...

This. I use a house a couple blocks over. Some cars let you password protect your home address.

I use the really big house down the road for that too.

Is it possible that you switched the Porsche ID? All of the settings are tied to the Porsche ID so if you selected a different one at startup, then it will look like you lost settings.

Try to forget the phone and re-pair... don't store your address, or use Siri or anything else that tracks u

I thought about this - but I'm using my usual Porsche ID. The weird thing is that it lets me enter my home address, click on save but it doesn't save it at all. Never had this before.

Quite loved to say "Hey Porsche - take me home".
