Default Which to buy, brand new or CPO?

Hi there, I'm new to here and want to hear more advice based on my current situation.

So I've been on a C2 waitlist(started from #15) of my local dealer for a year and yesterday I was told that I was moved to #2. And my SA asked for my final build code and the address for the registration. But then he told me he still has no ETA for the allocation and he thinks it might still need 4-12 months without any specific reason.
TBH I'm bit confused why it could take 4~12 months for #2...

Anyway today I found a very new CPO C2 (MY21 with 2000 miles) from another local dealer. The MSRP is $124k and it contains plenty of options. Now the selling price is around $120k so I think it should be a good deal? My current build for MY24 has $132k MSRP with just
some must-have options... Then I feel hard to make the decision, should I keep waiting for my MY24 allocation or I should take this CPO right now? I haven't seen any photo of the CPO since it's just arrived but from the build sheet I can see the exterior is aventurine green + Satin Aurum Wheels. And I think my concern here is the color of the wheels since I haven't seen too many this colors on the road... Also, I need to trade my current Mercedes.

Hope to hear some advice from here, thanks in advance folks!

As far as wheels go... I wouldn't let wheel colors be the deciding factor. You can always powder coat / refinish them in whatever color you want, if needed...

Get both.

Get the CPO now and trade in your MB.

Drive the CPO C2 until when (if?) your C2 allocation comes up with your name on it.

Then when you get the allocation and take delivery of your new C2, you trade in your CPO. Probably won't lose much on the trade-in, if any.

Because even if you get the allocation today, and it locks to tomorrow, you're still looking at probably a 6 month wait (if not more) before you get to drive the car.

So, regardless, you'll be without a 911 unless you get the CPO now, and keep in line for the C2 allocation.

Aventurine green with aurum wheels is a great combo FYI. Especially since it's discontinued now. I'd buy now and still spec your own as suggested above.

Also don't know how familiar you are with 911s but if you're trading in a Mercedes better make sure you're happy with driving a 911, it's not a luxury car and even the most sporty Mercedes is going to feel like a limousine compared to a 911.

https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRZASUE6

'23 MSRP is $128K+ $5K ADM that includes one additional year of porsche maintenance service (so two years total). Not sure where you're located but you would likely need to have it shipped.

Once you have a few more posts, and if you're interested, please PM me or let me know how I can reach you.

Adventurine with Satin wheels is the best.

Adventurine Green is discontinued and it was a great color. Snag the CPO now and it should hold value pretty well and will get you behind the wheel now. Also the gold wheels look great on that color. You'll likely grow to like them or drop $500 to change the color.

If you have to wait up to 12 months for the allocation itself, tack on another 6-12 months for the build/transport and timing should be perfect to trade the CPO on the new car.

Get the CPO-by the time your allocation comes in you will have even a bigger decision-should I get the 992.1 or the 992.2

Tangentially / as an aside, it's back on the configurator (after it's recent absence) as a selectable option...

Wait, so AG is not discontinued? Can’t keep up with the configurator these days.
