Default Declined a '22 911 GTS. Could be yours?

I was at a dealer over the weekend to look at a Macan for the wife and make a $1K deposit for a 911 GTS knowing it would be 12 months before I get an allocation (I'm okay with the wait). Today, while inquiring about the macan allocation, my SA mentioned that there was a “New exec demo. Untitled with CPO warranty” 2022 GTS available. Obviously I was interested and asked for the specs which I'm attaching here. This is very close to what I wanted to get but considering the timing and life events, I reluctantly declined the offer. Car has 12,620 miles.

Nothing to gain from this but want to pass this info to the community in case someone is interested. SA is Jason Maza at Hennessy Porsche.

So you get to pay for the CPO on the car, and full MSRP, and has 12k miles.

Did you make a face at them when they told you that?

That's a very fair price for a GTS with that many miles in the current market... most GTS are priced above MSRP still. I don't see it on their website so it must have already sold. I wonder if it was a PEC car.

Any inclination if this was ex-PEC car? Judging by the spec and mileage there is a high chance it was. True executive demos typically have 3-5K miles on them.

He did say that it was an extra car given to them which leads me to believe it's an ex-PEC.

car is not at the dealership yet so not able to see it.

MSRP has become less relevant these days.

If you can't purchase a Toyota at its MSRP, then what's the purpose of even having an MSRP in the first place?

That's a pretty poor deal.

I bought a car in a similar situation - 2022 4 GTS, exec car. Sold untitled and with CPO warranty. Also in chalk, with sticker of $178k. But I got it at MSRP. In my case, it had 780 miles when I bought it. So to pay >MSRP for 12k miles feels crazy. I actually had to check the date this thread was posted to make sure it was a recent thread and not a revived thread from early 2022.

Something odd here - I thought you could only get the extended range gas tank without rear axle steer?

From my own experience, be careful with these guys, it almost certainly is an ex PECATL car.

LOL this is a horrible "deal." Above MSRP with 12k miles.
