If pulling into your own driveway is going to be a stressor, get FAL. Beyond that, it's far from being a must have option in most parts of the country. Places where it would be useful? I would get it in San Francisco or if I lived in a New England urban environment.

For regular suspension (pasm) I can't imagine you'd need it, with spasm and if you have a driveway situation then may be worth it if you're the kind of person who would get an ulcer if the bottom lip scraped a little here and there or if you have a painted front lip which would be a pain to replace.

I had it on a spasm 991.2C2S and rarely used it except over big speed bumps; haven't had it on any of gt3rs/touring and have been ok in urban/suburban setting. Enjoy less stuff to fail and extra weight though later models are reliable and add little weight, go figure.

^ Exactly…as others have said, it depends on where you drive. I have a very steep, narrow, and turning street to driveway transition, and a 992 (and 997) with standard suspension doesn’t scrape. 992 with Sport PASM does scrape quite a bit; just one time and it is an ugly front lip.

3 991 gens, and 2 992 gens - you will not need it unless you are at some steep angles that you are seeing every day.

I have a mac and a GT3T - both with. Here is the stats.

My 991's and 992s (one 992 C4S coupe with -10MM and a 992 targa without) - 2 991 targa's and 1 GT3 T (with FAL.

The Targas have just over 6" of clearing - never an issue even at the most severe angle - knowing you take the best approach in those situation.

The C4's have just under 6" - need to be more careful and if you have some steep entries or situations you need to consider, then maybe an option or approach is key.

The GT3 and some of my other cars - 3-4 inches clearance - absolutely needed.

My 992 Targa is like an SUV, very rarely do I even think about speed bumps, approach, ect. with 5-6" there really is not much that is a problem...

GTS Cab here with FAL. Definitely need it in multistory car parks, particularly going down ramps. Don’t seem to need it for speed bumps

I leave the Carbonio on full time because I got too paranoid driving without a front plate.
The reason I got the Carbonio was that I did not want to drill holes in my front bumper.
I must add that the Carbonio plate is a well-designed and well-made product, but it does reduce clearance by a bit.
