I ordered my base Carrera in July 2021, and it finally got to the dealer in Jan 2023.

Base here too. Price did not come into play, just the allocation I could get. Still took 12 months from demand to delivery. Spec’d it the same as I would have with a S, except for the Burmester. Probably would have stuck with the Bose if available. That said, really do like the sound of the Burmester. No regrets here.

Same. Forced into Burmester on my base, but now I love it.

Just as a point of reference. My dealer mentioned that they only got three base Carrera's in the past year. Mine being the third. He also said they usually get higher trim levels. As being a smaller dealer Porsche gives them the higher profit vehicles. Which makes sense because they have wait list for all trim levels.

Same as well. Wanted an S, could get a Base, bought the Base, love the Base. I was able to sneak Bose in just under the wire and even then, ended up upgrading it to a Musicar Stage 3 system because reasons.

It sounds like my experience is similar to others. I laid down deposit November 2021. Euro delivery November 2022. Porsche delivered car to Maui in April 2023.
