Default Extended warranty

I am awaiting delivery of my 911 S Cab and don’t think I will initially purchase an extended warranty, but 100% will before the original one expires. I had to replace the entire PCM in my 2006 (997) 911 S Cab (back around 2012) and I was lucky to have had an extended warranty. I don’t remember the exact amount, but was over $4,000 and was fully covered. I had a few other issues that were covered as well. If I recall correctly, I paid about $2,000 for the extended warranty.

If the cost difference is not huge, it makes sense to me to wait. This is because people may sell their cars before 4 yrs are up, or the car may get into an accident and get totaled or even if not totaled, the owner would rather trade it in before 4 yrs rather than keep driving a repaired car for 10 yrs, etc.

I'd like to know the same. I shopped around with my Toyota Tacoma and my wife's BMW X7. Found cheaper prices from out of state dealers on Manufacturer Extended Warranties. Ultimately the dealer either matched or came down a good but in price nad went with the delaer I bought from since it makes things a little cleaner.

thx, duc

You gotta keep your risk exposure in context. God could rapture my 911 and the financial risks are pretty much capped at the value of the car. Medical bankruptcy on the other hand is a real problem, and the sky is the limit on potential financial risks.

That said, if you have the money to not worry about it, more power to you.

Does the Fidelity One work overseas? My wife and I might move overseas for work and I was told Porsche one would work overseas, basically at any dealership.

And this is something I can get when the normal warranty is going to run out, correct? I can wait to get it I guess it's what I'm asking.

You can purchase Fidelity coverage at any time, preferably when the vehicle has less miles to be eligible for longer lengths of coverage at a lower price. Depending on driving habits and where you land between Fidelity's mileage based pricing tier. There can be big cost savings starting Fidelity coverage prior to the expiration of your factory warranty. You can reach me directly at tgibson@highline-atuos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you'd like to go over specifics or have any other questions.

Thanks for help, sorry I could see how that was confusing but I actually meant the Porsche extended warranty. I would want something that would be able to transfer overseas.

Anyone ever call around, I know with like Honda ford etc, There is about a 50% markup on these, Some finance depts will sell discounted as they just want numbers, Might not hurt to call a few and get prices.
