Default Best SF Bay Area Dealership For Service Department...

I purchased my 992 in Southern California although I live in the SF Bay Area. Which Bay Area has the best service department?

Are they all going to be basically the same quality and experience wise?

I also bought my Porsche from a non local
dealer. I went with Burlingame Porsche because it is closest to my house. I’ve had great service from them over the last 2 years. No complaints.

I go to Porsche Redwood City formerly Carlsen out of convenience and not allegiance. I can say that multiple times I've had to go back for the same issue. If they can't replicate it then they just ignore the issue and don't tell you until it's pickup time. It's immensely frustrating. If you can avoid them please do.

Porsche of Fremont has always been very good to me for all my Porsche services (996, 997.2) over the last 1.5 decade under Gunter’s leadership …not sure what’s going on there now currently as my 992 has been there going on 6 weeks for windshield replacement and miscellaneous items. No updates , no response to text or voicemails left for the SA and Gunter. I’m hoping the team is okay and nothing unusual happened to any of their staff but this time it’s been extremely strange…. Just silence like this. Planning to come in there and see what’s going on soon.

Anyone had service there recently that can chime in?

But after reading the last post it sounds like something might have happened?

Fremont is owned by Fletcher Jones, which coincidentally just bought Porsche of Walnut Creek from Michael Stead last week.
Fletcher Jones also owns Newport Beach Mercedes and Porsche of Long Beach.

Well if they bought Porsche of Walnut Creek might be a good thing, horrid experience all around for me, it's the closest dealer to me but won't go back again.

I have had pretty good experiences at Rector/Burlingame. It is my closest dealership, and I have bought all of my cars from them.

Would you happens to know if Gary Brieno is still there as a SA? He was from Porsche Fremont and is a very good SA and guy all around.

He was at Burlingame for a couple years, however, has since returned to Fremont as of late 2022. I agree, Gary is great.

Gary is not at Fremont as of my last service there in Feb 2023 and last time seeing Gunter there in April 2023, fyi for all.

These were good gentlemen.
