Default New Python Green 992 C2S Owner

Long time listener—first time caller. Well, that’s not entirely true, I’ve been popping up in the Carrera T thread—as I had an allocation until Saturday. I was really excited about the T but prior to now I’ve had a ‘66 912, and two different Taycans. All the while, I just never got what I wanted, the Taycans were clearly me trying to be very responsible, and I always wanted something… more fun. So as I worked through the wait for the T, I started to think I may want more power, and I would definitely want PCCBs given the choice—and heck even Bose would be nice. That started to become a bit of a bummer, I was stoked beyond measure about the T but also kind of unsatisfied to not be able to get a few key options.

And that’s how I arrived here; a CPO ‘21 992S that is brilliantly optioned in the exact color I had on order, with what would have been a nearly identical selection of options if I had the opportunity popped up at my dealership, like a special message addressed to me.

For any not yet 911 owners, or those considering options, I’ll just plant a few worthless opinions here. My car doesn’t have RAS or Power Steering Plus, and I’m good. The car has a great turning radius and the steering feels a little heavy in the city, but in the sense that it’s a sports car turning at slow speeds, I don’t mind it—as it feels appropriate. I don’t have FAL either, and so far I’ve cleared everything that I’d normally scrape in the Taycan (unless it was in high / gravel mode). I do have Bose and it sounds great, given the context it sounds just as good as it did in the Taycan. The PCCBs? Amazing. Like they will snap your neck amazing. Transmission? I ended up with PDK and I love it. The different personalities between wet/normal and sport plus are incredible. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed is the engine kill at idle, but individual mode is the next rotation of the dial after sport plus, so I’ve basically made my own normal mode minus the engine kill, and now I'm one turn of the wheel from rager to civilized at all times.

Finally there’s the color, Python Green. Good grief, not only does it look amazing, but it seems to make everyone, everywhere incredibly happy. That’s quite a thing.

Oh and if you have been considering GT sideskirts, do it. They look so good.

I ended up mapping the shortcut button on the steering wheel to turn auto stop/start off. It’s a little easier than spinning the sport chrono wheel and also frees up your Individual Mode.

Congrats on getting the car that you really wanted!

Phython Green looks amazing (and even more so in reality than on pictures). I would have gone for this color, if I had ordered a coupe (but I don't like it so much in combination with convertible roof).

Congrats! Looks awesome!

Did you try 992 base? Can you feel the power difference between base and S? Substantial?

Would you mind sending some pics from the interior as well? Would love to see internal/external pictures as well. Impressive car and combo!
