24 or 25? Days and no engine still counting....
Had possession of the 2023 992 GTS for 3.5 hours before the engine did its best impression of a hand grenade or handgranate for our friends in Germany. The first engine ordered was a NO SHOW! LOL Someone tell me how that happens. In theory 1 engine is headed my way in theory only. The magic day of 30 is rapidly approaching and then the tricks and treats get real for all involved. Very little concern form Porsche but lots of "Sorry" and then "Let me read the screen please wait". One of my Porsches has been removed from my property and will not return. That's the polite way of saying the 2022 Macan GTS is GONE! The Cayenne Turbo I was ordering? Really Don't ask! So do I count the day of Purchase as a day out of service? I think so. Let's add 1 day to the title. Have a strange feeling this car will never make it to my home. Everyone in Ohio should know 30 days in the first 12 months is a slam dunk case! Refer to image above. To say Porsche North America has done poorly in handling the engine issue it like saying the Titanic has a water leak issue. If I ran Porsche I would "Elon" the place. Not a lot gets done there, but if you need help with Connect I "know" people. LOL

Well, If I recall correctly, you wanted to sell your allocation a few months back... Sounds like you serendipitously got your wish and can get out of your 911 fiasco - and Porsche all together!

From your post in the other thread, you put 201.7 miles on it. For only 3.5hrs, that's an average of 58MPH.
When/how did it grenade on you? Any warning? Low oil pressure? Failures are quite rare with these things in stock form.
Did you escalate with PCNA? Or have you just been working with the dealer? It does seem like lemon law will be the obvious conclusion here -- and that's on PCNA.
Frankly, I am surprised that the dealer hasn't simply offered a buyback to keep you in good graces.

He's been posting about this all over Rennlist for weeks... just different threads. Engine failed on him on his ride home from taking delivery on the highway...

Thanks for the heads up.

No worries... Its all detailed in the "official waiting room" thread... He posted the unfortunate event directly in there and there was a decent amount of conversation around it a couple weeks ago

As others have said, I think OP wanted/wants out and here is his chance.

$10K? Don't post with incorrect information. The dealership pulled the data I did nothing wrong, nothing was exceeded during the operation. During the PDI it was run hard per Porsche. It's an internal failure. I was never above 5000 rpm. I was actually on the highway just going home with the cruse on. Clearly no abuse. I'm not worried about the failure, it's how Porsche just sits around and wait for someone else to rectify the issue. The Dealership can only order parts and they've done a great job. Fact is where is Porsche? We shouldn't be here. If it takes time no problem. No one really has information or answers. At this point no one can say 100% the engine is coming on a firm time table. Panning for gold in the oil filter housing. Once the engine goes in it should clear the PDK fail since the engine locked. I'd just like to drive the car I paid for before it arrived at the dealership.

I called the dealer and they called a local dealer. 800 Porsche sent the flat bed. I saw no lights, no changes in the gages. I felt the punches in the right rear so I pulled over and she locked up. Wheels would not turn, they had to drag it up the flat bed. Porsche sent a guy with no skates. The dealership sees nothing in the data streams. Dealer claims build defect. They will crack the case later to find the failure. Chicago is where I started and Ft Wayne is where she died. The car had 15 miles on when I picked it up. Stopped the first hour to check the car and 45 mins later and topped off.

I feel for you but as usual you are all over the place with your posts. Good luck with whatever you move on to after the buy back.

There was a guy at PECATL back in March 2022. He got a $1k gift certificate from PCNA for the motor in his Cayman grenading in German.
I assume he got more than that, but a lot of us paid for electric steering adjustment and got a $500 voucher instead.
