is the 911 the most boring sports car?

I have owned something similar to both cars: A M Engineering stage 2 tuned 911 Carrera S that was loads faster than a stock GTS, and my current R8 Spyder Quattro performance. The latter feels similarly as fast as my tuned 911 did, so speed is not a problem.
The 911 has better steering feedback. I like the rear fender curves too.
The R8 is far rarer and more exotic. But the real kicker is that NA V10. It is positively intoxicating, and despite being a bit heavier, I feel like the Spyder is the best way to enjoy it. The car also gets a lot more attention.
You have to decide, but if you're already bored with the GTS before you've even ordered it, then just don't get it!

From the April 1965 issue of Car and Driver.
"The ads tell you a Porsche is "fun" to drive. Fun? A Mini-Minor is fun to drive because it can't be seri*ous; everything about it is incongruous—it defies all known laws of nature...and marketing...and gets away with it. The Porsche—any Porsche—is no fun at all; Germans aren't much given to frivolity. Porsches are designed by drivers, for drivers, to be driven very matter-of-factly from Point A to Point B in maximum comfort, speed, and safety. Form soberly follows func*tion, and the cockpit of a Porsche is laid out to achieve just that end. The controls and instruments are effi*ciently positioned, and this economy of effort and mo*tion is why Porsches aren't tiring to drive. But fun? Porsches are for driving."

Yep, my new GTS is boring as heck. Definitely get the R8! I wish I had the foresight, wisdom, intelligence, and invariably better looks you have and made the right call in the beginning.

Did we not resolve this in the other thread?

I got an Uber ride once, this guy driving at 80 on a 55, all windows down in his beat up tiny sedan, holding a salad bowl between his knees. One could say that was a boring car but the ride was not boring at all,
