At the gas station today
I'm fueling up the 992 this morning. There's some teenager nearby and he says "Nice Car, Bruh"
I say "thanks, I like it"
He continues with "Does that have the V8 in it?"
Smiling to myself I said simply "No, it's a 6 cylinder"
Then he volunteers "I have a friend that has one like that, he has the V8, you should have got that engine"
I say "thanks, I like it"
He continues with "Does that have the V8 in it?"
Smiling to myself I said simply "No, it's a 6 cylinder"
Then he volunteers "I have a friend that has one like that, he has the V8, you should have got that engine"

Several years back, a lady at a light next to me asked me if my Aston Martin Vantage was a Tesla (this was before the full on infestation of Teslas we have now). I told her it was, gave it a few throttle blips and asked her if she liked how it sounded.

Years ago while loading bird seed into the frunk of my 911 at the Agway store, someone stopped and said, this must be an electric car. Some folks have no idea.

My old Cayman S got mistaken at gas stations for a Ferrari ALL THE TIME... Usually young guys who would come over and say wow... what year Ferrari is that? I think it was that mid engine design, with those rear haunches and sloping back glass... I kinda get it, but still made me laugh.

Not a Porsche related post, but I have a Superformance '65 Shelby Cobra 427SC replica. I can't tell you how many times people have stopped me over the years and asked, "What year is that Corvette?"
