It's the grade of Carnauba wax and the content percentage. In the Swisswax line, this is not one of the expensive waxes @ $ 199 a container (40% Brazilian White Carnauba by volume) PLUS the Cleaner/Polish Prep before you wax.

Want to go all-in? Get this one. My Mom won't let me spend this much money though.....76% !

The downside of Swissvax is it lasts 3 to 8 weeks, so you have to be willing to spend the time on it. Some don't......I get it.

There is something uniquely satisfying about applying carnuba by hand vs using an applicator pad. Especially the more premium stuff.

I think I heard 6 months.

I brought my X3 home, washed it, let it dry overnight in the garage (after wiping it down) and then put a coat of Armor Shield on it. I have used Armor Shield on my wife's Clubman - decent stuff. Seems to last about a year. The problem is, you can't or shouldn't just re-coat in a year, you need to polish out the old stuff. So had they not tricked me into like 5 bottles when I first bought, I think I would look at a different coating today. My 911 has Modesta and that stuff is amazing - albeit $$$$.

But wax or coat immediately. Paint is well baked at the factory

can't say I had a wax that was so good, I spread it on by hand. The Midnight sun is so easy to apply and buff off it's like a bare hand, I think waxing any 911 is pure joy and even if you use Nu-Finish.

I’ve started using Meguires Hybred Ceramic liquid wax and love the results! You apply it like regular wax and it gives much longer protection than traditional waxes with a great deep shine.

Just a quick question if anyone knows..

I just washed my 928 last weekend and used Griot's spray wax. It came out nice, but now I want to use regular paste wax (Turtle Wax).

Is it ok to put paste wax on after using spray wax?

Synthetic waxes can be layered depending on its formulation, natural/carnuba waxes can't be layered most of the time. If you're looking to get additional protection from layering it and they aren't compatible/capable you'll just be wasting product.

Zaino Z6 gloss enhancer only. Pretty much after every wash. Quick, easy spray and wipe. Great shine, slick, smells great.

Just finished "simonizing" (old school)/waxiing my F-150 and Volvo C30. I also enjoy that process. They look marvelous.

Got my 992 PPF'd and ceramic coated so just a rinse and dry for it.

I miss not having that relationship you have when you wax a car. I am looking at a couple of high end waxes to use.
Call me crazy but I seriously thinking of ditching the ceramic for a high end wax.
Any comments will be most appreciated.
Gyeon makes a new wax with SiO2 in it to boost your ceramic coating. Just apply a ceramic coating yourself, a good one to use is Gyeon Syncro2 Evo. It is a two step process that gives you three years of protection. But after any wash you can apply the Gyeon wax to re-vitalize and extend the life of your ceramic coating. It's a win win. You get the better protection but you get the relationship of waxng too.

I’ve switched to polish angel and their products are pricey but amazing and easy to use. They have both carnuaba based products and si02. The high gloss spray also has titanium in it, the shine is incredible.
