992 T rear seats (delete) poll
Going through 304 pages of T-ethos I saw a lot of people adding the rear seats and was wondering what the percentage is. There were also some people that added the rear seats just because of (their) children. For that reason I have these 3 options. Curious to see how it will spread.

I considered putting them back in originally, for "practical" reasons and sticking to the "ethos of the 911".
Ultimately I decided that easily 90%+ of the 911s out there have back seats, and it will feel special to have the factory delete in this one.

Totally agree... Cool factor/Extra Noise for me... I love engine/exhaust sound more than anything and to be able to enhance that even a little bit makes it worth it. Plus im starting to think about after market roll cage since Porsche is doing the "hard work" of stripping the back out for us. Someday maybe, not right away

No back seat here.. Less weight, more noise, staying true to the Ethos.. what more can one need? 👍🏻

Y'all are saving ~20lb with your rear seat delete. There's almost no functional benefit other than to be able to say you have that option.

^^^ I'm just glad to have rear seats is a no-cost option, and as I've said twice before in these 10,000 pages of T posts (exaggerating of course) that I've added them bc I'm spending $7K on the Lizard Green Interior Package and feel 1). I need to get my money's worth, 2). many already answered that by deleting the seats you don't gain appreciable room and, 3). this car will be going on extended trips, I see a NY--> Sarasota trip 2x/year and may need to have seats to muffle some of the noises.
EDIT: super-stoked for tomorrow, it'll be my first day back on skis post-knee replacement in October, can't wait!!

As a no-cost option, Making the T lighter in any way and more exclusive in the 992 lineup... that is a good enough reason for me.

To each their own but buying a T and adding rear seats, sunroof, and PDK makes zero sense.

I added the seat because I have a kid and I would like the option of punishing him by making him sit in the back
But also like Scott P mentioned... if I'm paying for extended leather, I want all of it. Porsche is not giving us a discount on the extended leather package if you delete the rear seat. It's bad enough we are basically paying for sport tex seat center twice already (once baked in higher MSRP vs. base, twice because the extended leather option which is how you have to spec sport tex on S is not discounted due to sport tex being standard).
And third reason I added the seat back is based on my experience with other 911, the seat folded actually provides more usable space for luggage than the empty space from seat delete.
