I've talked about my Soul valveless exhaust with sport cats ad nauseaum.

They were excellent. But loud. At full throttle, the car was menacing. Even at low speeds the turbo spooling was very noticeable.

With my M Engineering tune I got a LOT of power--more than most people here, I gather, and in part I attribute it to this exhaust set up. 3" diameter from the end of the headers to the tips. Widest exhaust for this car that you can get (GMG Racing I believe also does 3")

I just want a full, straight through exhaust like the unsilenced titanium version from JCR, but valved where I can press the stock exhaust button to go from 100% or stock programming.

That way I can go from total douchebag leaving cars and coffee and then quiet during a long road trip.

I'm partial to the OEM with soul sport cats. Selling mine as the car is gone:

Both pages show same P/N, but one says for Carrera and one says Carrera S (Part No. EXFLAPRCOEE92):

https://cargraphic.de/en/your-vehicl...arrera-4s-30l/

Details links both bring you to here:

so then you just go with their valved non-silenced version

Soul has the same thing as well.

FWIW the stainless steel version will likely not sound as nice as the inconel version shown in that video.

I'm still waiting for someone to pick up the inconel version and let me have a listen

Why is Inconel so expensive? Seems like it costs more than Ti. Is it more difficult to weld or just more expensive to manufacture?

I believe it is a more expensive material. It's extremely lightweight (more specifically, it is stronger even with thinner pipes) and is used in formula one exhausts for that reason. This lightness is also why it sounds different versus stainless steel: thinner pipes produces a different tone/resonance quality. The same applies to titanium to a lesser degree.

I have a soul valveless setup with 200 cell cats. Have the same set up as yours i.e. base Carrera with no PSE. Initially I got the m-tune to open up the valves 100%, the sound was good but, still did not do justice. Later I went for soul setup. This setup is loud (especially cold start) but with m-tune and their option to eliminate cold start, it does not wake up the neighborhood early in the morning. Turbo noise is definitely more noticeable/pronounced and yes, droning is there in sports mode; in normal mode it is fairly silent. It is a different thing that with m-tune you hardly put the car in normal mode . Attaching two clips for reference.

1. 992_480p.mov: Stock exhaust with m-tune (100% valve opening configured). coming out of cold start around ~14 second mark, revs in normal mode till 40 sec, post that into sports mode till EoF.
2. 992_Soul.mov: Soul valveless setup with m-tune (cold-start eliminated). revs is normal mode till 23 secs post that in sport mode till EoF.

Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks! Wow, in the Soul vid it sounds like an air raid as those turbos whistle down.

I’m eyeing the Tubi - well priced and known quality. Just wish there was a video with clean sound or forum member review..
