Anyone Removed/Replaced Aerokit Wing
I'm looking at a 992GTS that has the aerokit. I'm not loving the wing but everything else about the car is a perfect spec for me. Most importantly, I could have it today rather than waiting for an allocation.
Has anyone removed the aerokit from their car? I assume you'd need the motor actuator and programming for the regular wing? Not sure about wiring harnesses etc etc.

Someone will definitely want to swap!
What color is your new car?

Unfortunately it's not my car yet.
I need to get a feel for how much of a project I'm going to step into for the conversion before I buy. If it's going to throw codes, require extensive wiring or programming, I'm not interested. The hardware swap is relatively easy assuming parts are interchangeable which I think they are based on other RL threads.
I might consider a parts swap, or I might hang the wing in garage for some wall art so I can go back to stock when I sell it.

You still didn't tell us what color it is???

It’s not easy at all, and requires some complex re-wiring/splicing the harnesses, a different metal under carriage and motor base, the dual 3rd brake lamps and different grill slat plate, and of course a regular active spoiler to replace it with, which I don’t know where you’d find.
Its a gigantic and expensive undertaking; don’t even think about it

I'll either decide to live with the wing or run away and look at other cars.

Contrary to the GT3 police on here, pleaseee get the car and the wing. I retrofitted it on my car and it’s stunning. It gets too much attention but I don’t mind that (I know many don’t prefer that). Maybe you’ll come to feel the same over time lol.

I don't love the wing. Don't hate it either. Time for a beer followed by a sleep to make a decision.

i called a dealership today about an EV SUV for my wife. A dealer I have a relationship with. List is 150 names long. He said I'd be looking at Q1 or Q2 2025 to get a 2024 model. That's not normal.

Update for future people with this question. A dealership quoted over $20k for them to convert aero kit wing to OEM spoiler. 😱

Seriously - You can get it for vastly cheaper b/c there are more than few people on this forum who would gladly trade with you. Just have to coordinate and be within driving distance. Heck you can even charge $2K or $3K for the wing to help defray the cost of moving their adjustable wing over to your car and they would pay to move your aerokit wing to their car.
