Before I got into Porsche I had a SL600, then SL63 AMG and then a GTR. I only bought a 911 in 2022, does this mean I had some shrinkage last year?

Wow… talk about crackpot psychology . What a horrible manipulation of self esteem to achieve a desired result , both by the test subjects and us… 😁

This is awesome!
However, I still don’t see much of a downside if someone is of average size or greater.
For example:
On one hand, if a female actually knew about the link of size to car, or even just suspected it, then if she decided to continue to pursue me, she’s making a trade off to other things, like smarts, capabilities, wealth, good looks, social status, might be a good dad, etc. So in this case, she’s probably smarter and more capable than the average cat and she’s a better catch because of it.
On the other hand, if she decides to pass, then she’s choosing size over other options that are arguably more important. I’m not talking about micro-p, just small differences. In this case, she’s probably not going to be super successful in finding a good mate if the top criterion is size.
And lastly, I never have picked up someone with my car or because of my car. It’s always been meeting them first, and then later, she discovers the car. My current wife had to pick me up because I had no car (loser!), lol. Nah, I lived in the city, so that’s just smart.
One might say, “what about everyone in the neighborhood and around town?” But I’m married. If I were not, the girls around town would talk. Yes, they tell each other stuff like this. So in that case, wouldn’t it be better to have a small unit and a Porsche than a small unit and a Prius? Or maybe just average with a nice car? If you are above average with a Porsche, then you get free marketing, a huge advantage.
I drive a Porsche despite some of the negative connotations about the car. I drive a 996, so I have a little more courage than most Porsche owners, lol. If someone tells me how ugly my car is, I can just think it’s an indirect compliment about me. If they tell me how beautiful my car is, I think it’s a compliment about the car. I win no matter what!

I think the size of the wallet is the main determining factor in getting a fancy sports car.

This is a disturbing revelation:

This is good chit. Plan to bring this up at the next local PCA meeting.
Maybe we should all strip down and compare…😂 😱
take it all with a grain of salt. Nice bit of humor to lighten up the day.

Imagine telling people you are a scholar, then when they ask what you research you have to tell the cars and dingdings.

Showed this article to my wife…as she is in a position to know best about my psychological quirks.
She said this situation might best be applied to buyers of big *** trucks and SUV’s…OCS, or over compensation syndrome? 🤔
I don’t own a big *** truck/SUV, thank God. 😎

I think if one can afford to buy and maintain a 911, they can easily correct the situation down south it it was that bad. It’s way cheaper to fix the issue than to compensate at +150k

Ouch. That makes me cringe. 😳
I would use an old saying from Mark Twain:
……… “It’s not the SIZE of the dog in the fight, but the SIZE of the fight in the dog.”
