Thanks all! Appreciate all your input. Despite the vote (for Agate) and after some soul searching, I’ve landed on the following. This process has been interesting - I never knew I could have a “connection” with a very specific configuration for a car (of all things), but I do!

nice congrats! I use to own a black 992 C4S with Carrera exclusive wheels. After owning it for a year and getting the chance to build my own I went with agate. the black is awesome at night but never stays clean and in the sun the rubber parts looks weird with the black paint once they get weathered. don't even get me started with all the flaws or tiniest scratches being visible all the time -_- the hips will take a very visible beating form debris even if it's PPF'd.

just wanted to add my 2 cents since I literally had 2 black 911's and this was my experience and why I've went agate now haha.

either way it will look bad ***.

Understood and agree that’s the trade off. Thank you!

Ok, an update.

I looked at some real life Flat Black 992s to be sure and changed my mind (again!). Wow. Here’s what I’ve landed on (for the moment - Ha!): Agate Grey with Spyder wheels.

Now some deliberations around Colored Logo on Wheels and Black model designation.

I never knew I could burn so much time on car options! But can’t wait!

The first option is the best hands down. Agate Gray with Satin Black wheels. RS spyder wheels don't work well with that color IMO.

I agree actually (looks amazing static, up close and when clean), but for some reason, I’ve got a reservation about black wheels making the car look “cheap”.

The solution to me is obvious. Go with the one in the very first photo of your very first post. That's the one looks best to me and to most who've responded. And I suspect it was your original gut choice so stop making it so hard for yourself!

Absolutely agree, first pic, first post is the best. Go for it and you'll be happy!

looks like someone took my advice hehe. my other 2 cents would be to add the exclusive taillights... they have extra LED's on the sides where the gills are in the light and the grey tails match the agate sooo smoothly.

Just wanted to tie off here and thank you all for your input. My C2 order just locked! I’m on team black. Will look almost identical to this except for colored centered wheel caps. Can’t wait!

I think agate is not nice Grey. When I see it always looks dull and lacks depth. I like grey cars and there are lots of nice ones. I for one don’t like agate.

id get black over agate

Team black too. Should be done with full Suntek PPF Monday. Can’t wait.

I've got forged HRE's on my BMW 650 and they are stupendously strong. I've hit potholes (and gotten 2 flats) but did zip to the wheel. I'd put forged Exclusives on my T but the Carrera Classics are going to have to do for now until I find a good forged wheel I like for it.
