Default Dashboard Replacement 48 MY '22/'23 911's

Is anyone else here affected by the recall/safety notice for replacement of their dashboards? I am one of the lucky 48 cars that are scheduled for a dashboard replacement on my 2022 GT3 and was wondering who else and what model 992 they have, and if they know any more about the timeline for this repair by Porsche. I was sent a copy of the Official Notice this morning and post it here for anyone that hasn't received the info yet. It seems that patience is one of the most important requirements of 911 ownership these days..."Our highest priority is the safety of our cars, and to this end we regularly review the quality of our work. In these reviews, a potential issue with passenger airbags was discovered in a small number of 911 cars with optional leather-covered dashboards from model years 2022 and 2023. In certain cars, the adhesive that bonds the leather dashboard cover to the passenger airbag lid may not meet specifications, which could result in the airbag deploying incorrectly. No incidents have been reported. Out of an abundance of caution, customers with an affected car may want to drive without a front passenger until the part in question is replaced.
Customers will be promptly notified so that Porsche dealers can install new dashboard assemblies. There will be no charge for this"

There is no way I personally would let any dealer replace the entire dash on a car without actually seeing a defect with my own eye, such as the leather lifting. Gutting the dashboard is a major deal in these cars, No matter how good the Technician is, there are bound to be a few snaps broken or a couple of screws missing. The likelihood of an unwanted rattle, a leather tear or fitment issue is pretty high.. That recall is not going anywhere, just leave it be and wait to see if an actual problem develops over time. Your recall will still be there if it does.

It’s related the passenger airbag? Might not be a good idea to wait and see…?

Man, this would really suck.

Think of the rattles that will result from this. I’d rather Porsche just buy my car back than let them do open heart surgery on my dash.

I got a free upgrade notice from BMW saying they would replace my 3G module in the dash of my M4…no charge. I declined.

Have any of you ever removed a dashboard? While it can be an involved process, its not rocket science. A methodical tech who follows proper mechanic protocol can easily do this without breaking things or forgetting screws.

This would not be a recall if it was lifting leather. This reads as an issue with the glue application that might prevent the leather from separating sufficiently to allow proper airbag deployment
