Nothing else matters if you want a manual and it’s a PDK. I speak from painful experience.
However, I see nothing wrong with the build if someone wants a PDK. Even with some pricey options one may not want, an available Targa GTS at MRSP will probably interest someone. Maybe even someone here…

If your intention is on getting all of the money you spent including taxes back after one year, then I would pass. By next year the used car market will likely be back to historic norms. At best you will be 15-20k below MSRP on resale.

That's best case scenario trading back to a dealer. Bet your dollar they're making theirs. You will lose money. Dealer won't.
BUT. ALL certified pre-owned 2020 and > Targas are selling over sticker.
So maybe if you sell privately at a smart price you can mitigate your loss. Again, BUT depending on state you might be losing out on "tax credits" for trading in a car when purchasing another.
You're gonna lose money...I'd say $10k-30k in a year with the $10k being extremely optimistic. But in normal times you'd lose 30% as soon as you drive off the lot.

MSRP + Tax + depreciation = a lot of money to spend to settle for a config you're not thrilled with

Two major things you don’t have on this build….. Your color choice and the all important manual. Hard pass!

In terms of the OP, wait for what you want.

So you guys think this time next year, the used targas will go from currently selling above sticker to 25-30% below? Hope you guys moved all your portfolios to gold and pork bellies.

Some of you may not see it because of your jobs, but as someone that services restaurants, the slowdown has 100% been felt since September. Don’t base your assumptions that restaurants are doing well because you go on a Friday night at 6pm. There are five other days in a week.

SPY is down 20% in a year with 5 days left of carnage. There is zero good news on the horizon to boost the morale of companies or the people.

OP, aint no telling what the future will bring. Do what you feel comfortable doing, think it through beyond tomorrow, and then live with your decision.

I think you'll lose money on this build in the next year or two for the same reasons others mentioned. GT products may be the one exception to that if you buy at MSRP. Either way, you're out probably $15k in tax, immediately. Also as others mentioned, it doesn't have your preferred transmission. Immediately would be a deal breaker, whether you want a manual or a PDK.
