Either one is better than any 718.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but saying it doesn’t make it so. And in an otherwise productive positive thread this seems like an unfortunate post.

Thanks all for the valuable insights. I wrote a long message and somehow it disapeared... so here I am again.
Things are clearing up a bit in my head. I get that the spyder is an incredible car, a thing of beauty. I also can't get passed that it is in the boxter family, which I left to move to the iconic 911. Incidentally, I am also worries about the cost of ownership/maintenance of a GT car over a "regular" porsche. Any one has some insight on that?
the 992 is a better car to the 911 in terms of dynamics, engine and technology, but it does not mean that the 991's is not enjoyable. I always thought, due to my age maybe, that each 911 generation is better than its succeeding one as it has character. Purely subjective, as is my finding that the 992, while beautiful is overly big, heavy bottomed and believe that the lack of buttons will make it not age as well as the 911. As I want to use my sports car daily, I don't mind that they are more GT. The 991 is compared to the 993 etc...
The 991 is the one I am coming back to each time. When I came to Dubai, within 2 months of moving in I went to Porsche to see if I could order one, but while still on their website, no more order were taken. All this tells me, that I should follow my heart, and regret it (maybe)...so the approach for me then is: 991 T first, spyder not so distant second, then 992... I will wait until I have a chance to test drive one, and also see whether the 991 price falls a bit as a consequence of the 992 being delivered. I'll check how much it will cost to import a CPO 911T, and compare it to the Spyder, new and used, although the premium on the used ones is reducing here... Even as I write this, I know the answer though...anyway, I have my game plan for the next months... Please let me know if that make sense. And again, thank you all for your insight!
