Tire Replacement

I’m debating on whether to switch from my original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires to Mich Pilot Sport 4S or Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires. Any reviews or suggestions would much appreciated.
Also, has anyone had any supply chain issues with obtaining any of these tires?
Thanks

I went from Pirelli to Michelin. To my senses, tires seem to run smoother and not as loud. Very happy with the Michelins; but the Pirellis weren't bad. Just a matter of personal preference.

I think the N spec Michelins are pretty readily available. They're good tires and highly rated for a reason. The Continentals are also very good, but considering pricing is very similar between the two, I'd personally go with the Michelin compound that Porsche developed and tested vs. the generic Continental tire.

I can’t speak for Goodyears as mine came with Pirellis but the switch to Michelins was well worth it for me. Better in every single way over the Pirellis. Noise, comfort, performance, and oddly enough appearance.

I have Michelin PS 4S on all my cars and will be switching the Goodyears on my incoming 911 when it's time. IMO Michelin is the best regardless of which car they're going on.

PS4S all day everyday over everything else in the category. Can’t wait until my Goodyears wear out and I can switch. The new Contis would be my second choice though.

Just a note, but ordering tires through the PCNA Tire Store will yield better prices and availability.

Mine came with the Goodyears...I'm happy with them. I don't track the car however, so I am not really pushing them.

I also have the Goodyear’s. Happy with them, might try Michelin sometime just to see.

I was shocked to find that a set of PS4S ordered through my dealer was something like $200 cheaper than through TireRack. No "free" road hazard of course, and they shaft you on the install cost so it balances out in the end.

My 992 came with the Eagle F1s... I have to admit, I hated them. I did track the car, but whether it was track or road driving I felt the grip was not sufficient, and the road noise was kinda bad too. I have always been a Michelin guy, but was willing to try and get a full lifecycle out of the Goodyear. I ended up trashing them at about 8K miles and am so glad I put the Michelin PS4S on... Ive had these tires on my previous 2 Porsches (991.1 and 987.1S) and have been thrilled with the performance on the road and track every time.
highly recommend Michelin and believe it is the best suited tire for the job.
I was able to get them through my local dealer and they price matched tirerack for me... as long as you bring them the lowest available price, I find my dealer will match pretty much anything.

If your order through the PCNAtire store, it’s way cheaper than TireRack.

I’m a Michelin fan. Now that they offer a bespoke tire for the 911, it’s a no-brainer. Haven’t checked the PCA offer, but the My Porsche price including installation appears competitive with tire rack.

I went from the Goodyears to PS4S on my Carrera S. When the tires are hot I am not sure the PS4S have any more grip. From freezing to 60F ambients the Michelins are massively better for on road grip with stabilized low tire temperatures.
