Just wanted to confirm, you are taping the drive and passenger door window seal or the windshield seal? I am excited to figure this one out

I initially did both to narrow down where the sound was coming and removed sections of strip at a time to figure out where it was coming from

I have the same wind/whistle at around the same speed. Mine seem to go away around 70 mph. Most of mine happen at lower speeds. Its really annoying and I hate it. I don't mind road noise. I dont even mind some wind noise. I HATE the whistle.

I recall reading a thread where someone said their dealer adjusted the front lip/bumper and it solved the whistle?

My whistle happens at 20-40 mph. I noticed yesterday, when the front axel lift was up, there was no whistle...once it completed lowers itself...whistle.

I searched for the past hour and cannot find the person that said their dealer fixed their whistle by adjusting the front lip/bumper...hopefully that person may see this! I want to ask what exactly your dealer adjusted so I can ask/suggest my dealer to do the same!

So I visited my dealer today so they could have a listen. Tech confirmed he hears the whistle, but could not locate it. He recommended we take a 22' for a spin (mine is a 23). Just as we were pulling out of the parking lot.. we hear it. It seems to be a similar thing for all the vehicles. This is sort of a case closed for me, for now. I'm going to try the little mirror deflectors and will report back if those help what so ever.

Don't waste your money on the wind deflectors..they only work for the wind buffeting when you open a window..doesn't work on the whistle. Wasted my money.

Funny my wife's 991.1 turbo and other past 911s or all my friends with 991s never had this whistling issue.

I think they teach them to say that during training.
Don’t forget “can’t replicate” “they all do it” “heard it but nothing we can do” “you should see what Ferrari customers deal with” “bring it back to where you bough it” and the best one “what do you want me to do about it”

How did you make that piece of plastic? I have the same issue and confirmed it is that groove on the side mirror!

I put a thin strip of PPF into the grove to make removal easier.
The place was some thin flexible plastic I just happen to have laying around from a toy. Used a Dremel to smooth out and put some thin 3m tape to hold on on....

It actually only need to be about a centimeter long to work...but I just stuck on a long piece

Greetings! The wind whistle is truly solved for me following the above guidance and by making the strip very long. I purchased a 1/8" Buna-N foam strip from McMaster-Carr (linked below), and installed it in the well-cleaned groove and wrapped it below the mirror. I've been driving around like this for about ~700 miles with zero whistle. Pumped!

That's great. Amazing that a six-figure car would require a fix like this, but pretty much all cars do and it's even more amazing the clever ways people find to solve all the little issues.

Is this fix for the 40 mph whistle or the 70 mph whistle? I have the 40 mph variant and the dealer "could not hear it", but my wife did and as wives do, she made a snarky comment about surprised to hear that in a $150k car.

Thanks

This is the 40mph really annoying, variable pitch, whistle. Mine was 42ish-50mph zone, changing depending on the wind direction.

Same here. Starts at 42 mph on a brand new 2024 coupe.

Surprising it’s so consistent, but good to know it’s not just me. I’ll try the tape technique.

Geeze this is pathetic to learn, I don’t have this issue on my 997 and 996, to think we have to tape our windshields and Porsche doesn’t have a solution by now in the 992. On my second windshield per dealer replacement and I still have the whistle noise at 40-65 or so mile, gave up.
