I think folks are missing the highest and best use case for the Dakar. It's not off roading (duh) and we lack sand dunes on the East Coast. But we do have, plentifully, are frozen lakes. I am going to use the proverbial poop out of the thing on the ice and on winter road trips.

I’m puzzled why Porsche would not include radiator screens to protect vital systems on a car that, supposedly, is intended for off-road use (per Porsche’s own PR)?? Makes zero sense to me. I have them on my 992S, and has already proved it’s worth, several times over….

you are so lucky to get a car.

does your Cayman have telefunken decals? its hard to tell from the avatar pic. i have a nice stash of them for my hifi.

The Dakar has screens at the front protecting the radiators (taken from the Turbo) which are situated in the side pods; centre is radiator free I believe and just connects to the GT3 'nostrils' in the front bonnet (hood).
