early October it was offered to me, I think around the 7th or 8th. It was a dealer trade allocation so it locked at the end of October originally. I changed something on the build before the lock date and it bumped it out a week.

Cool thanks. Looks like it goes pretty quickly after you get your allocation.
I'm trying to do Euro delivery in June or so next year so might be better for me to get my allocation in early 2023 than now.

I think it would normally take longer. It seemed like they had the freeze date already established when the dealer got offered the allocation and since they were trading one of their different car allocations for the GTS one it was a much quicker timeline. When I originally went on the dealer list I think it was June or July and was told 18-24 months. I was 4th on the list at the time. I know a person or two in front of me wanted Euro delivery and the timeline didn’t match up for their travel since they were looking at a similar travel period as you.
I was on the waitlist for C2S with 2 local dealers since this January. As of last month, one did not move at all (always remain 4th in the list) and the other moved from 8th to 4th.
Out of blue, a friend of mine called asking if I was interested in taking over his 4GTS allocation with MSRP deal. Sure I did, and the car entered production 11/21 with Jan 2023 delivery estimate. I guess I got lucky.
I'm also in nor cal waiting for a C2S, and it seems this time the line did not move either. Maybe we (or were) waiting for the same dealership
I'm actually getting pretty frustrated. Been waiting for 1.5 year and bought other Porsche in between to help the relationship. Feels like I'm being passed over for anyone that pays a cent over MSRP.
I get it. But if you were selling your current car privately and the first guy that sees it offers you $140,000 and the next guy that comes offers your $141,000, who do you sell it to?
