Looking to buy a Carrera S and have it narrowed down to a couple, and both have sport exhaust and are both the same model year, but one of them has the exhaust button on the dash and the other has this odd emblem, can someone explain why?
Early MY20’s went thru some revisions with the toggle buttons. The emblems are programmable hot keys. The actual dedicated exhaust toggle came in later on.

The Diamond buttons are “programable” buttons. You would need to have the salesperson or the owner if a private sale, show you how and which button (if any) can be programmed as the Sport Exhaust button.
Thanks, is the toggle even really needed? When you put it in sport or sport plus it automatically adjusts the exhaust right?
True, but if you want to open the exhaust without getting the suspension and transmission changes that go along with the “Sport” or the “Sport Plus” settings, having the Exhaust Switch is nice.

are you sure it has pse? Those are two aux buttons which you get when you have not optioned pse but have sport chrono. Your one above has pse and front axel lift so it has no aux buttons.
VW Group has been doing this thing where even when you “open” the exhaust valve it doesn’t really fully open. I had that issue with my 992 and also have it with my R8
Its a bunch of crap. Save your money and just get an aftermarket exhaust if you really want to hear the beautiful sound of your car
Wondering where one can buy the toggle switch sticker with the exhaust logo. I recently upgraded my NON PSE exhaust to PSE and had it programmed to operate on the toggle switch 1. I hope I don't have to replace the toggle switch.
The front Axle lift on the first car has me sold. Great feature! The second card seems to be much more extroverted, not my taste but I would love to see an exterior shot and maybe it'll make more sense.
